The Sara-Jane Stackpole Legacy Society was created in 2007, on the first anniversary of Sara-Jane’s passing, to honor this special philanthropist who left a legacy at the foundation. She was a special friend and ongoing contributor to the Foundation who shared the Foundation’s vision of building permanent charitable capital to benefit the community forever.
Leaving a legacy gift means planning today to leave money in the future to an organization or cause you care about.
Our Legacy Society is a membership for those who have named the Elk County Community Foundation a beneficiary or recipient of any type of planned or deferred gift. Simply plan your estate to support the Community Foundation in the future and then advise the Foundation of your gift.
Leaving a legacy can include bequests, retirement assets, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trust, gifts of life insurance, or any other type of charitable planned gift. Remembering the Community Foundation in your will or estate plan offers many benefits. A charitable bequest may reduce your estate taxes, and will ensure your legacy lives on in our community, forever.
More than great wealth, planned giving requires a generosity of spirit and the desire to improve the quality of life for others. The Foundation extends to everyone the opportunity to become a member of the Sara-Jane Stackpole Legacy Society.
We appreciate your vision and insight into our community’s future. If you are interested in becoming a member of the Sara-Jane Stackpole Legacy Society, please contact us.
