Women Who Care Comedians Event Brings Laughter, Impact, and Momentum for Elk County

An evening filled with laughter, connection, and community spirit proved to be a tremendous success as Women Who Care of the Elk County Community Foundation hosted its recent Comedians Event at Dream View in St. Mary’s.

The event drew an enthusiastic crowd of women from across the region who gathered not only to enjoy a night of entertainment, but also to support a powerful mission—strengthening Elk County through collective giving. With a lively atmosphere and memorable performances, the evening highlighted just how impactful a group of committed individuals can be when they come together for a common cause.

Women Who Care (WWC), a program of the Elk County Community Foundation (ECCF), continues to grow as a force for good in the community. Through annual membership contributions, WWC pools monies to provide meaningful grants to local nonprofits serving Elk County. These grants directly support programs and services that improve quality of life, address community needs, and create lasting change.

Women Who Care welcomes new members who are interested in making a difference in a simple yet powerful way. By joining, members become part of a collective effort that amplifies individual contributions into substantial support for local nonprofits. Those interested in becoming a member or learning more about Women Who Care can call the Community Foundation at 834-2125 or visit their website at www.elkcountyfoundation.org.

“The success of this event is a reflection of the incredible women in our community who believe in giving back,” organizers shared. “It’s not just about one night—it’s about the ongoing impact we can make together.”

Funds raised and awareness generated from events like this strengthen WWC’s ability to award grants each year. From supporting families and youth programs to enhancing health, education, and community initiatives, the reach of WWC continues to expand thanks to its dedicated membership.

Women Who Care would like to extend sincere thanks to the event sponsors for their generosity and support: Rebco, Dinsmore Welding, McDermott Welding, Six Monkeys, Elk County Commissioner Matt Quesenberry, Goetz Flower Shop, Marshall’s Insurance, St. Mary’s Insurance, and Sinterfire. Their contributions helped make this event possible and further the mission of supporting local nonprofits.

As the laughter from the Comedians Event fades, the lasting impact remains—proof that when women come together with purpose, the entire community benefits.

The Elk County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Northern Alleghenies, is a non-profit organization that strives to strengthen our region through development, stewardship and grant making as it collaborates with donors to achieve their philanthropic goals.
