$3,200 grant now available to improve Pre-K education programs

Is your non-profit organization or school that provides services for Pre-K education looking for grant funding to enhance your program? The Elk County Community Foundation will be awarding a grant from the Elk County Society for Special Services Fund in the near future. Grant applications are due by February 1st and grant awards will be determined by March 1,2018.

This is a competitive grant open to non-profits providing Pre-K education, with approximately $3,200 available this year. The grant application should be to improve programs that are already established or to develop a new program. The funds may not be used to cover direct operating expenses of an organization. The grant application is available on the Foundation’s website at www.elkcountyfoundation.com. Organizations serving Pre-K age children are encouraged to apply. For questions or more information, please call the Elk County Community Foundation at 834-2125 or contact them at eccf.net.

For many years the caring volunteers of the Elk County Society for Special Services provided innovative programming to meet the special needs of children in literacy, hearing, speech and quality learning initiatives. This perpetual monetary fund will continue to carry out their tradition of caring for the young children of our communities for years to come.
