Lynn Nicklas Scholarship
Lynn Nicklas was a lifelong resident of St. Marys and a devoted patron of the arts. Lynn was a member of the St. Mary’s Church, a Benedictine Oblate, and a Pastoral Musician by profession, serving as music director and organist of the St. Mary’s Church for more than 30 years. In addition, she taught piano and organ lessons for many years. She was a member of the American College of Musician’s Piano Teacher’s Guild, and was inducted into the Piano Teacher’s Guild Hall of Fame. For many years, Lynn served as co-chair of the Inez S. Bull Foundation, a non-profit formed to carry on the works of Dame Inez S. Bull. In honor of Lynn’s lifelong commitment to the arts and her dedication to the board of the Inez S. Bull Foundation, established this Scholarship Fund in her memory. A candidate for this scholarship, you must be a graduating senior from Elk County, pursuing a degree in music or a music related field. Secondary consideration will also be given to a student pursuing a minor in music or a music related field or a student who has significantly contributed to the arts in Elk County.
